Here’s a loud clink of the glass to Paul Clarke, the Seattle-based cocktail writer (frequently for Imbibe) who publishes the well known blog Cocktail Chronicles. In a post called Link Love, he talks up several drink blogs, including this one and the LUPEC-Boston blog. I, for one, am excited to be part of such a vibrant nationwide community of cocktailians and barflies. Woohoo!

Lauren Clark and Misty Kalkofen (invented for Roaring Twenties party at Boston Athenaeum)
1 1/2 oz London dry gin
1/2 oz St. Germain elderflower liqueur
1/2 oz Cherry Heering
1/2 oz fresh lemon juice
Two dashes Peychaud’s bitters
Shake vigorously with ice and strain into a champagne saucer or cocktail glass.

One need not live or work in Boston to appreciate drinkboston. As a fairly new bartender who cares about both the craft and the profession, it is definitely one of my “go to” drink blogs. Especially interesting are the interviews with area bartenders and each of their answers to the questions asked of all of them.
